MOSKVICH PRIVATE CINEMA Aslamazyan Museum

In the Green Garden of the Aslamazyan Museum in Gyumri, Armenia ‘nature’ mingles with the ‘artificial’. 

Basically, Jan Doms’ project ‘MOSKVICH PRIVATE CINEMA’ is about creating an imaginative ‘counterpoint’ to the museum in the Green Garden, which will also be linked on a mental level with the new project space in the basement which has it’s entrance in the garden.

‘MOSKVICH PRIVATE CINEMA’ is also referring to the titel of the exhibition project ‘Venice Journey’. At the same time the project is a kind of wink to the Guggenheim in Venice as a collectors private paradise.

 

Visitors can take a seat inside the old Moskvich car to have a private film session. In this way they can get acquainted with Jan Doms and one of his artistic works. In this case the short film 'Endgleis' created in 2000 in collaboration with Christell Frints.
