Jan Doms at Verbeke Foundation 17/11/2024

The large-scale works of Jan Doms have recently been included in the collection of the Verbeke Foundation. On the occasion of the opening of the new Winter Exhibition on Sunday 17 November at 15:00, several works by Jan Doms will be shown in the Museum.

In the course of time, other works will also be built up one by one and will be given their place in the collection. That will be a wonderful adventure according to many.

In 2021, the 12-metre-long steel and glass Wagon, which was specially designed and constructed in 1999 for the outdoor space of Galerie Kathareze - the predecessor of Luycks Gallery Tilburg - and served there for many years as a special project space, was moved to the Verbeke Foundation as Jan Doms' first dynamic sculpture. There, the wagon has found its beautiful place in the landscaped outdoor space, in a nearby combination with the 'CAST Mobiel' by Joep van Lieshout and the 'In Memoriam De Koeien' (burial mound) by Herman de Vries.
