On Friday afternoon, July 5, at 4:00 PM, the long-awaited duo exhibition 'STEPS TO HEAVEN' by the sculptor/designer Jan Doms and the painter Han Klinkhamer will open in the so-called monumental Koekhal on the Noordkade Veghel. It is the second time that such a large-scale exhibition has taken place there at the initiative of the program organization De Compagnie, which compiles the visual arts program of De Noordkade. The Koekhal is 70 meters long, 16 meters wide and 12 meters high and has a circulation for the public, from the plateau above the entrance at floor level. The works of Jan Doms and Han Klinkhamer have the reputation of connecting well with each other. This time both in the scale of the works and in terms of appearance. We have been working on this special exhibition for months. The exhibition will be accompanied by various activities and performances in collaboration with young performing artists in the hall that will be announced later. Young artists who are interested and motivated in these collaborations can register for this.
A special element is formed by Jan Doms' new project, 'Steps to Heaven', which was created thanks to the collaboration with the new 3D concrete printing factory of Saint-Gobain Weber Beamix in Eindhoven. The company for which Jan Doms also designed the now famous production tower 'Maxima 1'.
On Friday afternoon, July 12, starting at 1:30 PM, a special informative meeting will be organized in the Koekhal for the world of architectural design, construction and development to articulate this work and the development of De Noordkade. Anyone who is interested in this, is very welcome. Download: 00 Steps to Heaven PART Ned : Eng.pdf |
